Yes...we kknow it's hot in July. We have camped there in florida in july before and at myrtle beach in august... The SP at St Augustine sounds pretty nice...

Florida in July....
We are going to disneyworld in the middle of july. We wanted to get in a couple days at a beach as well after disney and I had the grand idea of camping. We will be leaving disney on a wednesday making our way back towards NC via a stop in Augusta Georgia on the Friday/saturday range. We would like to be near a beach and will be tent camping. Can anyone give any recommendations either on the Atlantic or Gulf side as to a good and clean place to be?

RE: looking for nc campgrounds
We live about 5 miles from Lake Norman State Park. We've never camped there (was going to this past weekend, but weather decided otherwise for us). Have driven through the campground a couple times and it seems not too bad. If you go there before we do, let us know. Or if you plan to go there some weekend, let us know when and we will see if we will be able to as well.

We camped there in 2002 in the pop up we had at the time. We were living in North Augusta, SC at the time. We live up above Charlotte, NC now about 30-45 minutes from the hills. Would love to go again, but it would be a heck of a drive ad we would be in a tent this time.
We loved that place. Stayed there a week, My son met some kids from Houston that he kept in contact with for a couple years. We lovedhaving the site on the bay and then going over the dunes to the beach. The last day we were there, we went out on the pier and saw a lot of shark and stingray. Gave me the heebie jeebies cause we were swimming about 100 yards away earlier. Would go back, but not sure if I will get back in the water...lol
